Translation

O Krishna, Mighty Armed One! Your form is magnificent and huge.
It has infinite faces, eyes, shoulders, thighs, feet, abdomens and sharp tusk
and teeth. All three worlds are terrified and so am I.

O Vishnu! Your form touches the sky, dazzling in many colours with
large glowing eyes and mouth wide open. Looking at this, my mind is full
of fear. I am trembling, unable to stay steady.

O Lord of All Deities! Looking at Your infinite faces glowing like
the fire of universal destruction with extended, sharp, strong, piercing teeth,
I am losing my bearings. O Supporter of the Universe! Please have mercy
on me.

Unfiltered First Take

Now suddenly he realizes the amount of work pending to make this dream a reality. Thinking about it, the entrepreneur may get anxious about the amount of work needed to address new markets, the resources required, the behavior of these markets, the pros and cons, worries about success and failure, competitors in each market and their behavior, and the systems that need to be tailored for each market. All of this is quite exhausting for the entrepreneur.

The only solution for him is to understand the magnitude and complexity of scaling and accept that it is better for him to surrender to mentors and experts and ask for help to scale his business. His mixed emotions have fogged his thinking, and hence he will not be in a position to execute it alone.

UdyamGita Interpretation

Arjuna’s experience now reaches its most intense point. The cosmic form no longer feels merely magnificent—it feels terrifying. Countless mouths, blazing eyes, and fearsome teeth stretch across the sky. The vision shakes not only the world but Arjuna himself. His courage dissolves, his mind loses direction, and peace abandons him. Overwhelmed, he does the only wise thing left—he seeks refuge and mercy.

This is the moment where awe transforms into anxiety, and vision collides with human limitation.

Business Insight

This is a phase every scaling entrepreneur eventually encounters.

After the excitement, recognition, and grand visualization, reality hits—hard:

  • The sheer volume of work required to enter new markets
  • The complexity of understanding customer behavior across regions
  • The need for capital, people, systems, and governance
  • The uncertainty of success and the fear of failure
  • Competitors reacting differently in each market
  • Processes that must be redesigned again and again

What once felt exhilarating now feels exhausting. The dream still exists, but the path to realize it looks brutal.

Leadership Lesson

This is not the time for heroism—it is the time for humility.

When emotions are mixed—fear, excitement, pressure, doubt—clarity disappears. At this stage, trying to execute everything alone is not courage; it is recklessness. Mature leaders recognize that:

  • The magnitude of scale exceeds individual capacity
  • Clear thinking requires external perspective
  • Experience borrowed is often more valuable than experience earned the hard way

Surrender here does not mean giving up control—it means inviting wisdom. By consciously leaning on mentors and experts, the entrepreneur regains balance, clarity, and direction. What felt terrifying becomes manageable when shared with those who have walked the path before.

Key Takeaways

  • Scaling reveals the true magnitude of effort behind the vision.
  • Anxiety is a natural response to complex, high-stakes growth.
  • Mixed emotions can cloud judgment and stall execution.
  • Trying to scale alone is a leadership risk.
  • Surrendering to mentors restores clarity and confidence.
  • Asking for help is a strategic decision, not a weakness.
